In 2003 the artist began a series called Trail Markers, whose shapes and mythology are drawn from those pilings of stones that guide people on their way through the wilderness.
The cut of the shapes is often inspired by the natural cubes found in nature, while the pilings cannot escape the fact that Man is a builder, and the Cube itself is the original building block of civilization.
